Since this week we learned about the Scientific Method and
Unit Conversions, you have three options to display your knowledge: design a
four frame cartoon or bumper sticker, create a two stanza haiku or rap, or
research a website that could be used as a study tool. These will be used
describe the steps of the Scientific Method used in an experiment as well as
any tricks to remember how to convert units (KHDdcm). Choose only ONE of these
three things.
A)
Choose to make a bumper sticker/cartoon,
rap/haiku, or website.
a.
Use appropriate images, and websites (no .com or
.org)
B)
Explain why your option is significant, at least
a 5 sentence explanation.

the bumper sticker i made is a great idea to remember the 7 steps of the scientific Method. Observation, state the problem, form a hypothesis, test that hypothesis, record the data, retest the experiment, and publish are the steps you need to complete an experiment. the way i remember these steps are threw the letters "OSHTRRP". that stands for Oh snap he torn Ronald Reagan's poster.

ReplyDeleteThe acronym i used was OQHTARR, which stands for Observe,Question, Hypothesis,Test, Analyze, Record, & Repeat.
I did the bumper sticker. On that bumper sticker I put "Our School Has The Running Ram Pride". Which is the 7 steps of the scientific method.

Seems the bumper sticker is popular. I also did the bumper sticker, but just put a little twist on a classic. I can see this on your car Ms.Creech. "My student knows the Scientific Method".

I made a bumper sticker that says "scientific method" "the six step process" because there are six steps to the scientific method. I'll have to email you the image.

DeleteI choose to do the bumper sticker. It is "AGFPAIF". That stands for Ask a question, Gather Information, Form a hypothesis, Perform a experiment, analyze data, Interpret the data, and form a final hypothesis. I thought this was a good way because you can see the letters and get an idea of what the steps are. -Hannah Weaver 1st Block

My bumper stick is a visual for the scientific hypothesis. The magnify class stands for make an observation. The question mark represent ask a question. The people talking are to show forming a testable hypothesis. The pencil pad represents record and analyze data. Lastly the arrow is to represent that you should repeat the process.

i made a bumper sticker. mine was on unit conversions. and i think mine would be effective if like there was an adut driving with a high school kid in the car and they saw the sticker. the parent would probably be thinking of funny sentences that the letters might mean. and the kid would be like actually that stands for kilo, hecta, deca, unit, deci, centi, and mili. its the letters for unit conversions that we learned about in science class. Thats how i think my bumper sticker would be effective.

My Bumper Sticker was on the six steps of the Scientific Method. I put the First letter of each Step on it so it made it easier to remember. i then put what each letter was on the actual letter to let you know what the letter meant. overall it just makes the steps of Scientific method easier to remember.

I did my bumper sticker on the Scientific Method. I included an image of the Scientific Method cycle as well as the letter that stood for each step. I also decided to throw in the metric conversions, that way if someone were to drive by and see the bumper sticker the would see the letters and be able to remember the steps and also remember the different units.

ReplyDeleteObservation is on of the key steps
ReplyDeletethen you have to form a hypothesis you have to test
collect the information and test a second time
then all you have to do is publish it on a notebook paper line
